GameMaker Jam Jar

Game Jams are events where many video game developers, hobbyists and professionals alike, compete to build new games from scratch in a very short space of time; sometimes just 24 or 48 hours! It’s a great exercise for a budding developer and many jam games have gone on to become successful full games, such as the GameMaker hit: Gods Will Be Watching!

We’re proud to say that GameMaker: Studio has proven to be one of the most effective development tools for Game Jam style environments, thanks to its core strengths in rapid prototyping and development.

We’ve set up this page to provide you with all the tools and resources you need to take part in a Jam using GameMaker.
