GameMaker: Studio 1.3 Arrives!

GameMaker: Studio. 1.3 is here and with it comes the introduction of the Simple SWF Vector Importer, feature-packed debugger, and a massive update to the extensions system, to name just a few. Games development has never been this seamless.

With many other features and fixes, we are sure that you will be especially pleased with our latest stable update.

For an in-depth look at this update please take a look at our release notes.

New Debugger

With the cross-platform debugger, tracking down those elusive bugs has never been easier.

We’ve revamped everything about it and added a whole host of new features -- from watches to breakpoints -- all so that you can release your games faster than ever.

Simple Flash Importer

If you scale up a normal sprite (JPG, BMP, PNG, etc), it will look blocky, or "pixelated.” However, when you expand a vector graphic, the edges stay smooth and clean.

This gives you the resolution independence that you need to transition your game from the small mobile screen all the way up to the big screen in your living room.

Extensions

With this update comes the introduction of cross-platform extensions, giving you the capability to add any external library or SDK to your GameMaker: Studio project.

Spine

Bring 2D Skeletal Animation to your GameMaker: Studio game with our new support for Esoteric Software’s Spine.

Push Notifications

Deliver updates and information directly to your users even when they are not using your game with Push Notifications.

New In App Purchase System

The In-App Purchase mechanism in GameMaker: Studio has been re-written to provide you with the most efficient and easy-to-use tool for adding micro transactions to your game.

Access a whole new monetisation method and unlock the monetary potential of your game!

iOS 7, Now Supported

iOS is the foundation of iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

Build your game for the latest version of Apple’s hit operating system, iOS 7.

New Demos and Tutorials

Along with all of the new features and bug fixes the tutorial and demo system has been updated, giving you all the learning resources that you need to get started developing your GameMaker: Studio game.
