Garden Gnome Carnage Review

Pros: Nice graphics, humorous sound, good music, and ingenious, fun gameplay, excellent variety and replay value.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind.
Polished, original, and riotously fun.
Overall, Garden Gnome Carnage is one of the most exquisitely balanced and simply, ridiculously fun arcade games you can find in the independent world. The gameplay is unusual and takes getting used to, but the appealing graphics and sound make learning the game something less than a chore, and once you've got the hang of things, the game becomes difficult to put down. Perhaps the game's most impressive aspect, though, is its variety; practically every time I play, I discover some new and interesting quirk - some of them helpful, some decidedly unhelpful, and some merely pointless and strange. I like games that you can explore - whether that exploration means discovering a world, or discovering the gameplay. This is one such game, and a very well designed one at that. I highly recommend it.
