The Meltdown Review

Pros: Nice gameplay, much fire and ice, nice graphics
Cons: Used standard Game Maker functions, no story, repetitive sound
Fun game, could be better
The Meltdown is fun to play, however you don't really stick to the game. That is because the difficulty. The game gets difficult soon, and when you get the feeling you cant get further, you stop. The gameplay is OK, the graphics are cool, and you used much fire and ice elements, as is required for 'The GM Race'. Unfortunately, no story exists in this game.
One point I wanted to mention, is that some basic functions in Game Maker are used. I'm especially talking about the highscores table, and the notification system ("Look out! There is an enemy!"). The highcores table could have been more edited in style, it looks too standard now. The messaging system should have been done with drawing text, these messages are quite annoying.
