Wally: Land of the Wallows Review
By mazimadu on 10 May 2007

Pros: The game is fun, and has a level editor.

Cons: The player moves to fast sometimes. But thats ok.

If you are a level designer, worth the download.

From a distance Wally is just a silly white stick guy that just jumps around and has no ambition in life. Well I don't know about the ambition part but messhof did a good job with this game, because it reminds me of the original jumper. First of, the character wall is a bit annoying at first. Sure, he makes this silly sound when he jumps and he can run to fast to control (which was quite annoying in the tutorial stages), but after a while you get used to him and then start to enjoy the game with him. He kinda reminds me of yoshi, or maybe the worms.
Stages are normally very large, eliminating the speed problem with massive jumps that can be seen in most games these days. The are normally challenging and somehow quite fun to play. Music is nothing special but, I really think I should get some. I liked(and want) the 1st balloon level music.
The best part about the game is the level editor. You can make custom levels and send them to your friends. The games 42 levels and 52 custom levels will keep you with a lot of replay value but it would be nice if there was some online multiplayer modes so that you and a bunch of friends can go head to head with a key race.
A very good game none the less. messhof, keep it up and people. play this game.
