One Unfortunate Night Review
By desertdweller on

Pros: Nice, non-repetitive music; solid, unique gameplay,
Cons: Story rather cheezy, sometimes space seemed too crowded
Well Designed
Saw a lot of good things in this game. One Unfortunate Night has a unique but still addicting gameplay style, a rarity among games these days. At even the most basic level, the game is fun to play: control two separate bodies and don't let the midpoint of the line connecting the two bodies touch anything.
There were also some nice graphical effects, my particular favorite was the bouncing green arrow. Very professional.
The music was fun to listen to, almost to the point where I would run the game just to hear the main music one more time. :)
Were I to complain about anything, the story is definitely the prime candidate. One big problem with truly unique gameplay elements is that it's hard to justify the situation with realistic human-like situations. The attempt in this case is lacking but you can see the effort. ;)
It was also fun to hear that music at the end; I know it's from somewhere...just can't...remember...!
