Drum Masta Review
By RC Moderator on 08 October 2009

Pros: The ability to change the color of your drum kit?

Cons: Not really many cons that I can think of.

Master Drummer

Drum Masta is a ga... actually, it isn't really a game at all. You play a virtual drum kit using either the keyboard or the clicking them on the screen. The drum kit includes 3 cymbals and, 3 tom drums, a snare and a kick drum. Along with the drum kit are four other percussion items.

There really isn't much to the graphics, a gradient background, the drum kit and the other four percussion items. They aren't realistic by any means, but they aren't horrible either.

The sounds aren't exactly like they would really sound, not that I would expect them to. They're good nonetheless and it wouldn't be the same without them obviously.

As far as gameplay goes, all you're going to be doing is playing the drums. You can change the color of your drum kit after a certain amount of hits are passed, not a big feature but it's something. There are highscores that save the number of times you played one of the percussion items, or hit them. I really don't see a point in that but maybe there's an alternative reasoning for it.

There is no story.

The interface is clean and simplistic and gets you into playing easy. Which is always a good thing.

Overall, Drum Masta is fun if you're into rhythm based games. While I don't actually consider this a game, it's easier to play beats than it is in say... FL Studio. Which is always a plus. It isn't great, but it isn't bad. It's good, and it's fun. I'd recommend it to you to play but I'm not sure if you'd enjoy it because maybe you're not into drums.
