Halo: Gallant Girl Review

Pros: Graphics, I'll admit they were okay
Cons: Too much to put here
Not Halo
The graphics weren't half bad; they were were fairly simplistic which fit, but the screen resolution was way, wwwaaayyy too small. I would have like to see more animations, and the frame rate was annoyingly slow. The bullets were bad. There are plenty of examples out there for nice looking bullet graphics; I suggest you look them up.
I was just plain bored with the sound.
The gameplay, which is just about all that matters, wasn't even there. If you give something the "Halo" name, it needs to meet some standards. Marginally entertaining would be nice, but even that didn't show up here. The controls were confusing and didn't feel Halo-like. There wasn't even an amo guage! Plus that assault rifle, if that's even what you could call it, wasn't even automatic. The only positive thing I can say is, you didn't use the control key to jump.
I didn't even bother to pay attention to the storyline. There was no Cortona or anything. And what was with that Otacon guy?
I've already mentioned how bad the controles were. No mid air stop for the jump. The controls it gave in the little tutorials were somewhat confusing, and the I couldn't tell if I was supposed to press "X" to advance to the next screen or the right arrow key. It didn't seem to matter either way; the dialogue had a mind of its own.
Overall it's just horrible. There are a lot of platformer examples out there; they range from Mario clones to shooters and everything in between. Nowadays there's just no excuse for releasing a bad platformer. I don't how this made it on the featured list; it's just plain bad. Sorry, but the last thing YoYo needs is more bad platformers.

Seems like you have more issues with how it *wasn't* Halo than anything else..
