Super Mario Slash Review
By Naruto kun master on 03 September 2009

Pros: graphics are not bad, and I honestly think they're nice, I like the background music (I'm a fan of mario's songs), pacman like gameplay means ... nice .

Cons: There no really easy noticeable glitches, but I can advice you some tips to make it better (read the review)

"Super Mario Slash" game from SG Studios review :

I like Pacman-Mario combined games and this wasn't really the best :p but very nice for a first hosted game =] .
I didn't really like the Goombas sprites, you can find better others with graphic quality on the net; and if you want i'll take some for you (PM me if you want mario sprites or just go on the Sprite data base) otherwise the hat, coins and the star sprites were really nice ^^ the bricks were medium but I guess you designed that quickly by your self. -(like I said you can find better on the net)-
the main screen was pretty especially the Mario I image :p; you could always use the play image as a button or make a menu like : PLAY, Game difficulty(changing the room speed and making at least 3 rooms which -easy | medium | Hard- or further ) , Quit , etc ...
otherwise this game is cute like it's music .
here's a tip you should use for your next update : make each sprite or tile set with the same height and weight for example : Mario's hat = 32x32, same for the goomba and the bricks (but you can make it not the same as the thing to drink and the star). once you did this make the rooms grid 32x32 and design it, and make in the player's object in the step event align to grid : snap hor : 32, snap vert : 32 . like this it should more look like as a pacman good game :) .

Keep up the good work ^^ !

I wouldn't say have a button to change the room speed, as that would cause problems. Instead, make all your room speeds 60, and have faster enemies on different difficulties. 60 roomspeed means smoother gameplay.
