Kill The Boss Review

Pros: The music suited the game, the interface was good.
Cons: The gameplay, the graphics, no story and the size of this game was its letdown.
Didn't impress me
The music suited the game, even though it is not excactly my favourite kind, and the interface was clear and uncluttered.
The graphics were homedrawn, which is always nice, but they were drawn badly, and the backround was not drawn by anyone who made this game.
Games like this need a story too. marks down for that, sorry.
This game was humoungus, and way too big. shrink the music file size, or use different music altogethor.
But as usual, the gameplay was worst.
It was all the reward system's fault.
The reward and punishment was out of balance by far. If you got hit once by one of those little zappy things, you'd have to restart the boss. i know that was meant to make up for the shortness of the game, but if you ask me that is the strategy of a person who doesn't put much effort into his games. and if i used those little bullet things on it, it'd make the health go down by about 0.05 of a pixel! The specials were useless too. one of them made you shoot rapid fire bullets, but that still wouldve taken ages to use to take a decent amount of health off of him, and the rockets just made the bullet sprite different! It was rewarding when you picked up a bomb. thats wrong too. it should reward you when you hit the enemy with a bomb, not the 0% effort of pressing a key to get the bomb. and when you had the bomb, you couldn't shoot!
2/5. fix up the story, size of game and rewards system, and it might score up to 4/5.
