Evolites Review

Pros: Great music, gameplay, and simple graphics make for a fun game.
Cons: Menus are a confusing at times.
Evolites, a review.
Ah, another one of FredFredricksons games. This game may not apeal to everyone, but if you like sitting arround, watching little creatures float arround, going from generation to generation (or if you just want to check up on your ideal Evolite while you do something else), then this game is for you!
Graphics - The graphics are simple, and in my book, simple, fitting graphics help a game. Though the evolites don't chance shape as they progress in generations, they do slowly change color and size a little bit every generation.
Sound - This game isn't a music player, but the sound is one of this games strong points. While it is only one looping track, it never seems to get old. You could have the game running in the background just for the music alone!
Gameplay - The gameplay makes this game what it is. It's simple, but effective. Each Evolite changes each generation, changing size and speed to help it get the upper hand in the game. You control how much food and radiation goes into the Evolite pool. If theres a lot of food, then your evolites will live long, but nothing will evolve much. While if there is too little food, it's a survival of the fittest, each evolite changing each generation, trying to become faster and stronger to get the food.
Story - There is no story in the game, it dosen't need one. But if you want a story, I'll try to make one up. You find a pond full of little creatures called Evolites and you try to raise your favorite Evolite.
Interface - This is where the problem is. While the menus are not terrible, there is no clear explenation of they do. It gets a little annoying when you can't leave the game with the esc key or the red X on the window. But it's easy to learn.
Overall - This is another great game from FredFredrickson. I recomend it, but you have to be a fan of these kinds of games (I know I am!) to really get into it. A+

Brilliant Game I love the graphics, the music, the whole shebang. I would rate it a 7 but it only goes up to 6 you know. Also my web browser is all messed up and does not display all of the graphical interfaces so I actually can't rate it anyway cause I can't hardly see a darn thing. (example I the big green "PLAY" button can't see it so I just gotta remember where it is.) Funny all the advertisements show perfectly.
