Silver The Hedgehog 'World's collide' Review

Pros: Excellent concepts, nice graphics, "Cliffs of Dover"
Cons: Some small glitches/problems, story
Very good, but could use some work
This game is very good. Surprisingly good, to be honest!
The gameplay is refreshing, focusing on telekinesis rather than speed. The implementation of the feature is very well done, being used as both a weapon and a puzzle solver. The graphics and sound were above average, and "Cliffs of Dover" fit surprisingly well.
However there were some problems I had with the telekinesis system. First, if you drag the normal blocks into Silver, he dies. At worst, it should push him, though more realistically, it should go "around him", either in front of or behind. The movable floating platforms are a second point I found needed some work. If you move them up while Silver is standing on them, they will go through him causing Silver to fall (in my case, to his death). At worst, this should push him strait up, at best Silver should move with the platform including side to side.
In addition to that, I found that walking into spikes from the side will hurt Silver. The only other problem I found is some enemies that the player couldn't destroy. For some reason they wouldn't fire their weapon, and there were no blocks around to use against them.
Contrary to what many others have said, I feel that if you had no story, it would have fit better than the two or three sentences you gave. (I'm referring to Silvers entrance, keep the pre-Start Screen scene) Deep stories should be saved for RPGs and maybe adventure games. This is a platform/puzzle game.
Finally, I would like to warn that while I spent more time in this review on the negatives, the positives of the game greatly outweigh them. This game is a lot of fun and well worth playing. The time spent on the negatives were for the developers benefit; it would be a waste to say what was wrong but not how to make it better. Nothing I said was meant to be mean, I just want to see this excellent become even better!
