Karoshi Factory Review
By LostOverThere on 22 December 2008

Pros: Great music, nice graphics and absolutely amazing game play!

Cons: Somewhat Steep learning curve, controls feel a little awkward at first.

Gem's come in Factory's

Unfortunately, not many games can get past on such a small and simple idea while keeping the player gripping to the controls. However, luckily, 2Dcube's Karoshi Factory is one of those games. At its core, the game takes the idea of dying where in most games should be avoid and turns the idea on itself making it the objective.

The graphics in Karoshi are simple yet highly attractive, the backgrounds and objects are for the most part fairly monocoloured, suiting the game well with the character models being simple and bright. There is only one music track for the game itself but it does its job extremely well and brightens the whole feel of the game, enhancing the game play.

The game play is, at its core, where the game shines. The simple idea placed with interesting level design will keep you coming back for more, over and over. However, the game does suffer from a steep learning curve. Overall though, the game play is one of the areas where the game shines and will keep you happy for a while. Unfortunately though, the controls are the opposite of the game play. While the game play remains simple, the controls do otherwise which can feel quite awkward at first.

These minor faults aside, Karoshi Factory is an incredible gem that should provide you with a great deal of fun for a while.
