Drop in the Bucket Review

Pros: Good difficult, intuitive gameplay, entertaining puzzles, nice concept.

Cons: Very lack luster, no sound, frame rate drops, lack of variety, too short.

A game that is pink in the middle

This is a good game, make no mistake, as long as you are looking for a good puzzle game this game will meet your expectations. Now, that doesn't mean it doesn't have problems, the game itself very lack luster, to the point where it can be described as "cold". The interface, the graphics, the sound, the polish, all of it is lacking but it's saved by an intuitive gameplay and good puzzles design. There's a few annoyances here and there, like a few levels where the particles won't bounce on a few walls or, in some other cases, they will bouunce off the middle of the wall for no apparent reason.

Another problem with the game is that sometimes the water particles - especially when using the magnet, make the frame rate drop which makes it very annoying when waiting for the bucket to fill up to advance to the next level.

On the good side, the levels were all pretty entertaining and some of the later levels will keep you thinking for a while but never fall on the "frustrating" side. If there's any fatal flaw in this game is that it plays all its cards in the first level, you won't be seeing any more items or tools during the game which makes it lack in variety.

Overall, this is a pretty fun game, it may be lacking in luster but as a puzzle game, it manages to entertain you and will leave you wishing for more.
