Torque Review

Pros: Original ideas, challenging levels, smooth gameplay, good music, nice effects, online highscores, awards, bonus levels, etc
Cons: it can get boring for some people, difficult at first
A classic game
Torque is an addicting game that has simple gameplay, but is really challenging at first. After a bit of playing, you can get though the normal levels and extra levels with a little effort, but the hard levels are.. well hard. im not sure if you earn anything after beating the hard levels.
The game is unique and has interesting and addiciting gameplay. It is an arcade game that the only control you have is where you are, and if you want to shoot straight, or spin around like crazy. the enemies appear slowly, but soon come faster and harder. The enemies all have their unique way of dying, shooting, and moving, so you need to know how to kill the enemy, and if it will do anything when it dies. The special modes keep this game interesting, as it includes different methods of playing like, in waves, lasting as long as you can, and things like that. There are no highscores for that unfortunately, but there is one local highscore for a mode if you unlock the mode. so its addicting, but after a while it might get boring for some.
It is also good that there are online highscores with the game, although it takes a lot of work to get into the top 100, which are the only players shown on the in-game highscore table. i would just stick to playing the special modes with my friends, but if youre really good you could go for the top 100.
The graphics are basic, but have nice effects. its a retro-style arcade game with nice effects... like a vector-style game. its simple and looks nice
its fun, looks cool, its an arcade game, so its fun for a while when youre bored.
