Pros: looks great. sounds great. great gameplay.
Cons: bad jumping movement
my review
i have been playing a lot of sonic lately on a genesis emulator and it is hard going from those sonic games to this one. the hardest part is getting use to the jumping. it feels like sonic has a lot of horizontal heaviness. if i let off the arrow keys while he's in the air he stops. i think he should keep going. there shouldn't be friction when he's in the air.
aside from me getting used to the controls, this is a really fun game. i kept playing even after i got a game over because the game play was a lot of fun. everything else in this game is pretty much the same as what it is on the emulator. the level design was great and the bosses were too.
i think that the background should scroll a little. it stayed right with the view. it should hold back some. loops and tracks to move fast across are fun. they should be in the this game. i really liked having the power up thing, where you hold down and build up spinning power and take off, don't ever make a sonic game without it.
great game
