AerialKeng1.2 Review

Pros: Great shoot 'em up principles and execution
Cons: Perhaps not enough forethought in the slo-mo mechanism
It has a weak spot
Really well made game, thought perhaps the first boss is a bit harder than the next two.
Problem is, the slow mo makes you incredibly powerful. I first assumed it was for dodging, but it allows you to pound a large number of shots in on a target. That makes the game less about bullet hell and more about zipping in, dropping a ton of shots on it, and repeating. It's a really hard game if you try to just dodge and shoot - it's actually kind of simplistic if you use slo mo to rush in and nuke bosses. It seems a waste of that hardness, but perhaps the author wanted a focus on easy nukes.
Story note: I think it's stupid that yoyo games makes me rate the story, as if it's always an important thing in a game. Here I think it was intended as just a side salad, so it's not important to rate it. I give it a three anyway.
