Elimod & Dagros Review

Pros: the graphics, good use of competition theme
Cons: a little less puzzle and a bit more action would've been good
A little hard
graphics-
The graphics in this game are quite nice, and some are quite important to take notice of. The effects are very nice, and all the graphics fit together well. The absence of a HUD results in a less cluttered game. The health of the title characters is shown by the background, sometimes though, you dont have a clue what you health is if your view is in the middle of a large level.
sound-
the sound is nice, but there's not much of it and the music is only OK. Also, some sound FX, like opening gates and stuff, just sound like someone talked into a microphone and randomly distorted it.
Gameplay
The gameplay is nice, if a little hard. The puzzles take a few times to get, and sometimes you push a needed block into a wall and can't push it back, or you are near the end and get killed.
The shoot functions of the WASD character felt a bit under used and the game got a little too bogged down in over complicated puzzles. But, maybe this is just me not being any good at this particular puzzle game.
Story-
Dont think there was one
Interface-
The movement is fine (although you sorta get a little caught on walls), and there wasn't any lag noticeable.
Overall-
Overall, a nice game which you should be proud of. Sometimes a little hard, but aren't all puzzle games?
I think you'll get a staff pick for this one.
P.S Any tips for level 6?

There are little divits in the walls you can use to take cover in to get to that button, once you get there dagros can come in and whoop them. :)

Yes. I know how to push blocks.
I find you can make it easier by destroying the enemies with dagros, and i got far but then got pwned <_<

Good review!
Sound effects - All of them were made with a base of a clicking sound that was just distorted greatly. :)
Story - The only hint at a slight tiny story is the end when you "escape the labyrinth"
And for level 6, did you figure out that you needed to push the block with dagros? That level has lots of thinking involved, and alot of dud buttons. One of them is right though. Also if the last bit disturbs you, you should know that "one must take risks". :)
Thanks for the review.

Report to Staff
I might comment that while puzzle games are not my thing, (I prefer when any problem can be solved with liberal application of lead), that does not make puzzle games bad, it just mean's that they aren't aimed directly at me.
