Grapnel Review

Pros: Very fun, addictive

Cons: No storyline, but that's not a big problem.

Great game overall!

Graphics:

Good graphics, particularly the two layers of scrolling backgrounds! Not much else to put here.

Sound:

Superb sound! I particularly like the whooshing sound as you go faster and faster. The variety of sounds when you click a button is also a nice touch.

Gameplay:

Very simple, intuitive controls. Easy to play, hard to master! One little glitch I found is that when you unlock the "change gravity" unlock, and set the gravity to around 20,000 - 30,000, and manage to grab the ceiling before hitting the ground (a change in line speed to around 100,000 helps with this), you can just hang there and keep getting the "speedy" stunt.

Story:

There isn't one, but I honestly think that it doesn't need one.

Interface:

Very intuitive, perhaps the various options that you can unlock could be added into the "options" menu after unlocking. Still, very nice!

Overall rating:

Overall, I rate this as 6/6. It's a super-addictive arcade style game, but with nice unlockables which add replay value. Also, the idea of the super stunts is very interesting, and I still have yet to complete them all!
