Pros: Mario Graphics, sound, few glitches, completely customizable (as far as Mario goes)

Cons: No level editor yet, sometimes confusing switching through subcategories, a couple glitches.

Mario Builer Review

To tell the truth, I didn't hink this would be that good at first. But you never know, so I tried it.

I was wrong.

This game was great!

The Graphics were all Super Mario Bros. 3 graphics, so that definetly earns it 6 stars in graphics, since that's what the graphics were intended to be. There was a glitch, though:
I saved my map. I went back to the title screen and then to the load menu, and loaded my map (on file 1, if it makes a difference). There, burned onto the screen it black letters, were "Do not show this again", like from a message. I have no clue why.

The sounds were midi's, but then again, so are mine -_-. But, they do fit Mario quite well. In fact, they are the midi interpretations of certain songs from Mario games, gotten from vgmusic probably (I love that place).

It was a bit of a disappointment that there was no editor for the actual levels. But I'm sure it's on its way, so keep working!
The World editor, though, was very thorough. Add water, rivers, castles, levels (the map images of them), bridges, gates, obstacles, pipes, hammer bros, everything on the Super Mario Bros. 3 maps! My only objection is that the subcategories can get confusing when cycling through the water banks. It's not too big of a problem ,though.
And, when you encounter a hammer bros, the screen fades out and goes back into the editor (though I'm sure that was done purposefully)

It's a level editor, it doesn't need a story. I'm going to exclude its rating for the final score.

You need to be able to either load the files (when it's complete) into a separate World Player, so you can play the worlds without having to go through the editing screen. And so you can give the files to your friends to play and not edit.

Pretty good! Keep working on this, I'll be waiting!
