first REAL review

Ice arena delivers tons of action and buckets of gore. much like Raven software's Soldier of fortune series.

let's talk about the graphics:
the graphics are awesome for game maker. the environment is very detailed and open-ended; with nice snowfall effects and texturing.
not to mention the flashy bullet-trails effect when shooting, and I found the death animations a bit shocking.

now about the sound:
there IS no sound, so nevermind.

finally, there's the controls and gameplay:
I've always been partial to the traditional "WASD keys-and-mouse" movement, and the high level of customization at the beginning of the game is astounding. (even though I set my health to max and set my ammo count to max as well.) and for reasons other than killing random mercenaries, you'll actually enjoy this. I'm talking tough enemy AI and superb weapon assortment.

So overall, this is one of the best deathmatch-shooters here.
