Blue Buddy 2 Review

Blue Buddy 2 is an adventure platforming game, spanning over 40 levels, and 5 different environments. The core gameplay is very simple, and similar to that of IWBTG. You navigate the protagonist, "Blue Buddy," through a variety of challenging puzzles. The gameplay has a very good difficulty curve, starting out simple, tutorial-ish levels, and getting progressively harder. However, level difficulty is one of the games flaws; In between good, exciting levels, there are often very bland and boring ones thrown in, as if they were just fillers. The music is simple, yet very fitting to the game. and it's ideal. The graphics are also simple, not distracting from the gameplay, but adding a touch of professionalism.

HOWEVER, there are quite a few things that keep this game from reaching it's peak.
The levels, though well designed in general, start to get tedious and repetitive, and are often very predictable. The final level, level 40, isn't difficult in any meaning of the word, it's actually very easy, just time consuming and requires a certain amount of patience.
The collisions in the game are, at the worst, abysmal. Often you'll get stuck in a platform and have to jump to escape it. While this doesn't often kill you, it's quite a nuisance.
There's no given way to turn off Full Screen, which for me, is very very annoying. I prefer to window my games, even though I know the Alt+Tab trick.

This game shows exactly how lazy todays gaming society is. They want a game they can beat without trying, a simple amusement; They don't grasp a true Video Game when they find it. The people complaining about the difficulty in this game wouldn't last 3 levels playing IWBTG, this is actually very easy in comparison.

Overall, this games graphics, gameplay, and fitting score outweigh it's predictability, and sloppiness. 4/6 stars.

-=QUICK LIST=-

Graphics = Fitting and well made

Music = Not repetitive, and fits well

Gameplay = Aside from some collision glitches, fantastic

Level design = Average. Sometimes predictable, gets repetitive near the end.

Story = There was none, therefor I cannot give it a rating.

Interface = Bad. No controls list, no way to turn off full screen, annoying cursor glitch.

Controls = Obvious, simple, and easy to use

Overall = A good game. Do yourself a favor, and give it a playthrough.

Thanks..... The cursor glitch is because of the screen resolution, and I don't get why you said there is no controls list, because it is^^ But overall, thanks:)
