Project Raiden Review

Pros: Great graphics, great sounds and music, very fun to play and gets addicting
Cons: Not much, except the graphics and sounds are from actual video games and aren’t unique
Raiden the great line
Usually, these kind of shooters don’t appeal to me, and after learning that this game is a clone of a previous commercial game, I made up my mind that I wouldn’t like this game. However, after playing this game for a while, I actually got addicted to it and wanted to keep playing, which usually doesn’t occur when playing Game Maker games (no offense to any other creators out there, keep up the good work so I can get addicted more regularly). The graphics and great but are from Raiden Trad, the game which this game is based on, also, the music comes from a variety of Star Fox games, but it really blends in well with the game and the graphics. The controls are good, and the game is challenging enough to make you want to overcome them and keep playing, which in return gives this game a great replay value. However, this game is just a demo, and doesn’t have all of the features that the full game will have, so I am expecting a better experience when it’s finished. This game was put together pretty well and has great gameplay, although I’m sure there are better games out there, this one just is probably one of the better ones I’ve played (yet).
However, I did get an error when trying to continue a game with the third selectable ship (PM me for the error)
So, whether you’re a fan of top-down vertical scrolling shooters, a fan of the Raiden series, or just somebody looking for a fun game to play, look no further, your search is over (unless you want to keep looking, then go ahead).
