Dimension Shift Review
By CJ Master on 06 May 2008

Pros: Excellent engines with very few glitches, fairly unique concept, very nice menu, great time-waster.

Cons: Very low replay value, not enough game-play elements.

Incomplete, but a very good begining.

When I first saw the title "Dimension Shift" I thought I was in for a Dim clone (Dim is a great game by the user YoMamasMama, I recommend you try it.) I was wrong though, and saw that the title had absolutely nothing to do with the game. Instead it seems that you.... Oh wait, thats part of the story. Well then...

...As I was saying, you play a little Pictochat character, running around a pictochat world. There's not really much more unless I missed it. If you need a awesome story in your game, then turn back, now. But why I play games is because the

Gameplay 5/6

...And this game certainly delivers. Basically the whole concept is to draw lines using your mouse to move around the levels, and scribble the enemies to destroy them. Or you can just mess around and draw pictures all day. Simplicity at it's best... but while speaking of simplicity...

Interface 6/6

The interface is funny, simple, and easy to look like. I honestly can't find any complaints about it, except for the fact that the creator used the default GM help file, but that's excusable, like the

Sound 4/6

What can I say? Non-original, but fitting. Doesn't hurt your ears, but you won't remember it after 10 minutes.

Overall rating: 5/6
A very fun time-waster which I highly recommend. Too bad it has very little replay value and fairly shallow game play.
