Sanctuary Review

Pros: Story, 3D cinematics, weapons and items, variety

Cons: difficulty may be too high for some.

A shoe-in for a staff pick

A great game. An hour long, stuffed full with lots of cool items and weapons to try. The only GM game i've seen to include 3D cinematics with a great story and awesome ending. There is great variety to gameplay too. There are several mini-games, and different situations that will test your ability with different weapons and strategy. You can command NPCs through part of the game too. There are unlockables and bonus game modes too. Really, everything you could want in a game.

However, although the graphics are good, there are games out there with cleaner and more stylized graphics. The graphics here are sprites, but are made with a 3D modeling software which means they are somewhat "blocky" looking. Also, although it was great that you had tutorials throughout, some things were missing a little info like "dont attack police during this one part or you will die" (although this was alluded to in a movie) and the hacking game takes some figuring out. Also I played this on the easiest difficulty and found it almost challenging enough.. some people may have trouble with it... and I can't imagine the harder settings!

Overall though, this is definitely a must-play. How long did this take? XD
