Aztec God Review
By interceptor on 28 March 2008

Pros: excellent atmospheric sounds/music, innovative gameplay, good 3D graphics, good physics, different traps

Cons: unspectacular story, controls/splatter effects are a matter of taste, no powerups / highscore

An entertaining challenge

In this game you control a big round rock (indy trap) and kill zombies. But that's not quite correct: you don't control the ball, but the gravity of the ball by rotating the camera with your mouse. This is not as easy as direct controls but works surprisingly well. If you kill all zombies in a level, the entrance to the next level is activated. By killing zombies you also gain energy, you can use to boost your ball, i.e. increasing the gravity while holding the left mouse button. You will be quite challenged by the 30 levels.
But while the game works well in its current state, there is much space for additional gameplay elements, like powerups, highscore or different ground heights with ramps, elevators, jumps...
I might love a sequel!
