Pros: Clean graphical style Easy controls

Cons: Lack of purpose

A game with unreleased potential

I thought I'd give this game a quick review because it seems to me a game that's not quite as good as it should/could be.

Whilst simple, the basic premise of the game is good - shoot stuff (real mean stuff that's trying to eat you). Likewise, The controls are simple yet effective, allowing the user to interact nicely without too much fiddly button pressing (assuming your mouse has a middle button).

What this game lacks is a motivating factor for the player. I'm all for highscore based games, but when the only possible end result in a game is my own death it makes the whole experience much less satisfying.

So here's my suggestion, the only change this game really needs is a timer on each level, if you can survive long enough a door will open and you can make good your escape. Also, it's ok to make the player work for new levels, that can be motivation in itself.

What is more, you can keep the highscore element as the player can still hang around in the room and blast away and monsters. In fact you could improve it, have a multiplier for kills made in quick succession. A wider range of weapons, bad guys and power-ups (especially if you have to move around the level to collect them, thus keeping you moving and avoiding repetitive gameplay) and I think this game could be pretty fun.

Just my opinion of course... Good work anyway.
