Wolf Review

Pros: Makes a good short story with a deeper meaning.
Cons: Gameplay was really lacking, and the message behind the story was lost in the swift ending.
A Great That Was Cut Short
This game is impressive. The cinematics in the beginning are enjoyable. Few games from the community exist that introduce the setting of the game. Transformations in this game might remind you of Breath of Fire, but Banov takes a new approach to this.
The gameplay was all right, nothing too appealing to be honest. Being able to roll was interesting but did not do anything for you. The fighting animations were interesting, but past the eye candy, the fighting was lacking. The bosses made up for this a bit. They were fun to fight the first time, ignoring some glitches. However, you used the same trick twice for the second boss, which slightly takes away fro the interest in the game.
The game sets its atmosphere well and allows you to feel there was a deeper meaning and message behind the game, although partially lost in the shortness the game and medium. Few games from here have had depth to their story lines, and you did a darn good job for the length it was.
All in all the biggest disappoint in the game was there was not more. This game leaves you at a cliffhanger and wanting more of the story. However, the ending gave some closure, even though there were still several unanswered questions.
The bonus commentary after beating the game was interesting, but might have been more suitable if you made the commentary to a game trailer of Wolf.
