The Meltdown Review

Pros: Nice gameplay, melting ice, fire graphics are well done, ice player and enemies too.
Cons: No variation in tiles, ice creating is pretty bad, story could be much better.
One big error occured far in the game
This game is quite nice to play. As i said above, the gameplay is good enough. Some graphical things could be better though. The tiles are all pretty much the same. You should make more variation in it to keep the gameplay up. As it is now, it gets boring in a few levels. Also the ice creation of the player should be better. Now it's just a block appearing out of nowwhere. You could do much more with it!
Next: the story. You say something like that in the beginning of the game, but that's all. Like this, it's working to the end of the game without knowing where it ends. And if you had over 50 levels, it would take too long to keep the player going to the end, if he can't know how far he/she is. You could, for example, add bosses and show in what level you are now.
Finally, the error. Somewhere around lv10 (i don't know because i couldn't see how far i was), the player fireballs stopped moving in mid-air. And when I hit one with the player, the game got stuck. I couldn't move, the sound got stuck and <esc> didn't work.
But eventually it is a nice game to play. Still, I think you could do much more with it than it is now.
