Super Smash Battle 3D Review

Pros: It's super smash brothers
Cons: 2-direction attacks
Super Smash 3D
This is an interesting twist to a tired old concept; make a super smahs brothers game with Game Maker. The 3D aspect worked really well, I think you could use this engine for an effective platformer. As a fighting game, however, it falls short.
Because character sprites can only point in two directions, it never feels truly 3D. I spent fights focusing more on aligning my z-axis with an enemy than anything else since I could only attack left or right. As far as I could tell the combat only used 1 attack button, with only 1 attacking sprite for the character that I used, Mario. And it wasn't even animated.
The sprite choices were the conventional used for smash brothers games; the sounds were faithful to what's expected of a smash brothers game but nothing particularly awe-inspiring. I loved your designs for the stages, though; well done.

how can the interface have a perfect score if a con you mentioned were 2-directional attacks
