Evade Review

Pros: The sound really supports the game, especially when you get to higher levels. The music is also pretty good and highly original. The gameplay will have you moving at all time, which is a good thing. As for the interface, everything seems to be in place.
Cons: Even though the background during the game looked awesome, the sprites could of used some more effort. The plot of the game is clear, but a story would of been nice.
Dodge for Your Life!
The main idea behind Evade is to dodge until you can dodge no more. The title screen doesn't come close to expressing the true nature of this game. It may seem timid at first, but once you start playing, you'll be hooked. The creators did a nice job setting up the menus and teaching the controls of the game. They even made a preset highscore list. The gameplay is a little slow in the beginning levels, but just you wait until you level up a few times. Soon you'll be moving the mouse in a frenzy trying to avoid a very colorful set of bullets. The only thing you have to help you along your path to destruction is the use of shields. I think it was an awesome idea to have the shields unable to block everything. To me, that makes the the game that more fun, seeing that your only defense can be bypassed. Overall, the game is extremely fun and addicting. I think that lostplanet did a great job for their first game. Keep up the good work! I hope to see more from you guys in the future.
