Windows Æ (Awesome Edition) V1.2 Review
By gamingman on 01 January 2008

Pros: In Windows AE, the interface is nearly realistic to Windows, and graphics match almost exactly, which is hard to find in Windows parodies.

Cons: The "Help & Support" contains copyrighted text which quiznos00 had no permission to use, clicking on objects didn't have the color of it change to blue when the mouse was over one, and use the windows messages expansion pack, for heaven's sake!

Windows AE: Not great, but good.

In Windows AE, you simply move around a windows-based enviroment, clicking on random items, and having messages pop up, most of which are mainly nonsensical and hilarious. Graphics could have been better, looking at some icons that were cut off at a point, and sound was average, not great, not bad. Moving around was slightly unrealistic, as in Windows, the object the mouse is over in the Start Menu turns blue. However, the message boxes were absolutely terrible. Use the Windows Messages expansion pack! It's so easy that way! What were you thinking when you made the messages? Nobody would notice? And last, that Help & Support! You gave credit to Neil, but it's downright stupid to copy other's work for a game, unless they want you to. I give you credit for trying, quiznos00, but it could have been much, much better. No insult intended, but you have a lot of work to do.

That text is most likely not copyrighted since it's on YouTube and if anything is copyrighted about it, it would be the video itself.

It's not supposed to simulate a real Windows XP. It's meant to be humorous.
