Pros: First really good Mario fangame I've seen.
Cons: It was a fangame and thus unoriginal.
Super Mario Bros. Mushroom Journey
The graphics and sound were duplicated from the Mario series but you used good ones and such copying is to be expected when making a fangame so that the series is recognizable.
The gameplay was great. It was exactly the same movement style as the 2D Mario games but that's the idea for a fangame. This is the first Mario fangame I've seen that's been able to perfectly duplicate the movement of the authentic Mario games. I also applaud you for designing your own levels and not just using old ones. They were great levels at that, designed just like the ones in the Nintendo games. The only thing I have to say bad about this category is that shift is a very bad key to use because of Sticky Keys and some other things enabled by pressing it too many times. Even though it can b disabled, it can still be annoying.
There wasn't much of a story so I give no grade here.
The interface was a copy of the Mario GBA games but it was exactly what was needed and didn't get in the way of the game.
