HTML5 Proof of Concept Feb
25

We thought we'd show you some of the work we've been doing behind the scenes. We haven't been sitting around just publishing games, or just working on the 8.1 version of Game maker. So what we have here is a proof of concept; actually, what we have here is slightly more than a proof of concept, but it also shows you just what we'll be able to do sometime in the near future. We won't say too much about the core tech, or about where this comes in terms of selling or publishing, but we wanted to show this work off in time for Russell heading out to GDC (Game Developers Conference) which starts next week. If you're a developer and are heading to GDC yourself, then feel free to try and corner Russell to talk about it some more with him...

For the rest of us.... enjoy the video, and just imagine what the future will hold for YoYo Games and Game Maker! We're excited! I hope you guys are too!!

KAROSHI!!! Feb
8

It's here! One of the most popular games on PC now comes exclusively to iPhone, iPad and out soon on Android! Karoshi has been played by millions on the PC to date to high acclaim and YoYo now bring you the newest version!

We don't believe Karoshi needs much of an introduction but it's worth repeating...Brought to you from Jesse Venbrux ala 2Dcube, the same author of the quirky They Need To Be Fed, YoYo are delighted to be presenting this highly popular hit cult game,  the excellent innovative puzzle platformer title with a unique approach!

Mr Karoshi is an overworked Japanese salaryman who’s had enough and his only goal is to end it all. You control him to work through the fast logic puzzles trying to find hilarious ways to his demise in this highly original, puzzle, platformer with a twist.

If you have played Karoshi before you know it’s not as easy as it sounds! You need to think cleverly and sometimes ‘outside the box’ to find a solution.

Features:

* 50 levels

* Dark Humor

* Collect all the coins

* Karoshi ware mini game

* From the maker of ‘They Need To Be Fed’

* Catchy soundtrack by Jake Almond

Age rating: 12+

Karoshi is available to download via the App store, priced at £0.59/$1.00
http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/karoshi/id406650835?mt=8#

To watch Mr Karoshi in action, please see the fun Karoshi video on the YoYo Games Channel here...

We've all gone a bit Karoshi mad here at YoYo so if you fancy winning some Karoshi goodies, please follow us on twitter and facebook (links below) where we will post up opportunities to win prizes..Remember, you have to be in it to win it!!
