Plus, the images posted may be screenshots, just with everything but 1 block cropped out. Nice stuff there, it is a bit off, but still cool.

AWESOME engine. A few quick fixes would be better AI and making the player invincible for a few seconds after each respawn.

It's a nice understanding of Game Maker for a first game. One recommendation I have is to set the player to move with friction, so that way the player doesn't glide all the time.

I really didn't like this game. The 'screen' is way to small, there are no shields, the levels are non-intuitive, and the 'Halo' theme really slips away amidst the sprites and music. 2/5
