Well, if you beat a set (6 waves) you can skip that set by using the menu, so lives and that aren't really needed. You just need to beat a boss and you can skip that whole section. Now, you won't be able to get a high score though. You're one of like two people who don't like the music. That's never changing by the way. That's one of my favorite songs (that I've made).

The game was pretty cool, but it was really easy, especially the last sector, which shouldn't be the case.

Good game, but you have no concept of learning curve. Regular levels are for babies and Hard levels want to slap you in the face and kill your dog. I didn't get to the final boss, but the first boss isn't really considered a boss. The tutorials are harder :P... And I never even came close to dieing on a tutorial level.
