Asteroids + lots of nifty upgrades = nice! What I don't like, though, is what you did to the controls. The turn rate is too fast. Takes the fun out of flying

For what it is, I do like it. I'd strongly vote against a grid, btw. Would be too limiting. One suggestion, though: it would be nice if the current part, on the mousetip, was always placed on top of the others, so that you're free to choose, what you want hide or show.
