   That's not really that great of help. What you should do is stick the Origin (it's right there when you open up a sprite) under the feet of the sprite. Watch... and realize how effective that will always be.

   Notes about that: The word hspeed should be UNDER the parentheses, not next to them.
   If you do not have Pro, replace Image_xscale with the sprite_index of the dog's running in that direction. Like this:
   sprite_index = dog_run_left;
