Well, the game uperates in 2D just because you can't draw a 1D line on a computer screen: it has to be at least a pixel wide to be visible, but a pixel is a square with the width of... a pixel. But the game only has one 'moving' dimension: between the downleft and the upright corners. And, well I don't surf on the site too much, so i didn't realise there were other 1-D games. Sorry. Do you think 4-D games are possible, by the way?

King, please dont try to quote basic physics to me, I can go alot deeper than this and you will fail miserably.....

Im not saying 1d is not possible, BUT IT IS IMPOSSIBLE in our universe and certainly on a computer screen. Think about it....2d = width + hieght , 1d will be one of those dimensions. Now imagine if you drew the thinest line on the screen, it still would have two dimensions, being width and hieght, even if the width was very small. Try it for yourself on a piece of paper. Try drawing a line with hieght and no width....you cant because no matter how thin the line its always going to have 2d.

Oh, and by the way, that background is a black-and-white image with a diagonal gradient i drew myself. The controller object has a variable that begins with 0 and are added with 1 each step. The controller object draws that background, blended with red, green and blue depending on the music, on the x/y corresponding to the variable. That makes the game a bit less static to look at, i tought.
