    alright, another question, how do i make a liquid shoot out of player, and propel player backwards depending on where the liquid is shooting, like, if it shoots up, it propels him down, shoots right, propels left.

    I don't hate you! you didn't do anything wrong. make sure you set the 'solid' option on the objects correctly, also there's gravity and friction code in the step event of the player that is necessary.
