oh, boy yeah i know but that way the 3d looking sprites for gems may fit in better and think of the possible ways they could drop, and roll and formations they could dissapear in, it'd be soo cool.

Not all great games need to be presented in 3d. This game would not look as good in 3d anyways. 3d is overrated.
