    Game description: In alot of games on this site, when you collide with a wall, you get stuck. This utility demo shows how when you contact a wall, you can slide along it instead of being frozen still.

    Also did a version using GM click and drag icons. Not my prefered method, but it's perfectly smooth

    If you halt the x and y movement, the character freezes. There are tons of games on this site where if you touch something solid, it's like you get glued to it.

    mariovandalism : Well, I know there's bouncing off of solid objects. But that's hardly smooth either. Do you have an example of an easier way?

    you know in the collision even you could just halt both the hspeed and vspeed?

    you went through too much truble, ithere are much easier ways to do this
    2/6 it isnt that smooth anyway
