Pros: The game is fun, fast and has good replay value.
Cons: No music or soundeffects, no collision detection against opponents.

I think your game has potential but needs work. The braking and acceleration are to drastic. It lacks some elements of a good race game such as car damage, oil slicls on the track, powerups tp repair your car damage, slalom cornering etc. If you were able to drive as smoothly as your opponents you might stand a chance. You should be able to bump and grind with your opponents :) and cause them some damage. Graphics could use some texture and the cars are a bit small. Music too. 3 stars.

An updated version of of the game has been uploaded. Version 1.01 among other things now has vista support and soundeffects.

I made this game influenced by classic Amiga games such as Indyheat and Super Offroad, and those who havent spent a lot of time playing those games might find the learning curve of Top Speed quite steep. But the game is in no way impossible.
Perhaps I will make some improvements, such as adding different difficulty levels, perhaps some simple cutscenes to add a story to the game and then release a version two of Top Speed.
