Earth is at war. A strange insectlike race known as the Buggers has invaded Earth twice. Barely surviving the second assault, Earth sends forth a counterinvasion while searching for a genious general to command the invasion force from Earth using a new long distance communication technology. Fifty years has passed and the Earth fleet draws near to the Bugger homeworld. For Fifty years Earth has been searching for the perfect general, and as time grows short one boy stands out as a prospect. His name is Ender Wiggin.
