Ah, I get it now. However, Mario cannot do a dash-jump if you're going left for some reason. Also, I cannot get past the Ghost House.

In earlier versions, to disallow accidentally entering horizontal pipes, I made it so you had to be holding Dash (default X I think) to enter them.

I haven't tested for that bug yet, mostly because the engine has changed since then. But thanks for the report, as I'll try to watch it in this one.
As for the Ghost House, HINT: The lantern in the second room is grabbable.
