Oh, to get people to chase the main character, you use move_towards(obj_player.x,obj_player.y,*speed goes here*) i think thats teh code, ill check...yep thats it. But the ai will be stupid, and walk into stuff...youll need to program a way for them 2 move around it....

no no, dont make it based off alkatraz, just make it a prison break out game. Then you choose the story for your character. the player would have a bit of free roam in the prison, and have to talk to the right people and say the right things to get a good ending. OR a bad one, like your guy getting the chair =)
