this is just stupid i dont like anyone like this on yoyogames but i will help anyway :)
use key relese to stop the robots from moving by setting there speed to 0 then make the robots step avoidng to the main charicter by using these cordinates (use the step event)
(object name here).x
(object name here).y
that makes them try to find a way to get to that object but make it avoid all instances
