The thing about the graphics, is that you have to first understand how hard it is to make graphics that look this good in this style before you can appreciate the still-frames.

Heh, the only things I haven't unlocked in this game are the difficulties (haven't really tried), and the prize for the Immortal damage rank (I stopped trying after about three times resetting one of the levels, then completely lost interest ^_^).

I've said this before, but I love how you weave these improtant morals into the gameplay itself, and how Iji becomes more aggressive as she kills more enemies.

Ugh. What happens is people look at the screenshots and don't give the game a chance. The thing is, the screenshots don't do the game justice. The graphics are simple but beautiful and very well drawn. Gameplay wise, Ultimortal has somehow mixed an rpg, platformer, and shooter to brilliant results. Not to mention the epic story which, in my opinion, is worthy of a silver screen adaptation.
At the risk of sounding like a defensive fan: Before you downrate, make sure you're not just jealous.

      Four point eight? Downraters!

Don't worry, Ultimortal, it's still ten stars in my heart. :3
