GameMaker Awards 2021 | Submissions Open Now!

The GameMaker Awards are back for 2021. Once again we want to celebrate the great games Made with GameMaker! This time with more categories and great partners in Opera GX and SpecialEffect to help us spread the word about all the incredible games from our community. We are inviting developers to submit their game for Best Game and Most Anticipated Game.

Submissions are now open and run from May 20th through to May 31st. Our judging panel consisting of: Stuart Poole and Russell Kay from YoYo Games, Maciej Kocemba from Opera GX and Harry Cole from Into Indie Games will then decide on a shortlist of the top 5 finalist games from each category. At that point, we will open up voting to the public to decide on the winners!

Each one of the 10 finalist games shall receive: A finalist logo created by YoYo Games to celebrate the game and help with spreading the word about voting. They will also receive a 12-Month Ultimate GameMaker Studio 2 Licence. The overall winners shall additionally receive: A winners logo, an amazing promotion spot on Opera GX Corner and our website and social media and a winner’s trophy!

You will be eligible if your game was developed using GameMaker Studio 2, and released between April 1st 2020 and April 30th 2021 OR if you game is in active development with a playable demo/released in early access. Read our full terms and conditions and how to submit below...

SUBMISSION TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • The game must be developed in GameMaker Studio 2
  • The game must have been released between April 1st 2020 and April 30th 2021
  • OR in active development with a playable demo (or early access)
  • You must be the developer/publisher of the game you are submitting
  • Submissions may also include videos, gifs, executables anything shared on social media #GMAwards #GameMaker
